Eric’s Cinderella Pool

As some of you may have seen or heard, a hot tub has been installed on the deck of Eric’s Unit, # 36. Eric is 9 years old; he has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. When he was just 4 years old we took him to StoryLand in New Hampshire. Eric loves Cinderella and so we told him that he was staying at Cinderella’s house (hotel) and sleeping in Cinderella’s bed. He loved the hot tub in the hotel and—of course—called it “Cinderella’s Pool.”
Since his first dip in a hot tub, Eric was constantly asking to go to Cinderella’s pool. In May of this year, the StarLight Children’s Foundation made Eric’s wish come true by installing a Cinderella Pool in his own back yard! The hot tub was donated by ThermoSpas and after reviewing the specifications and safety features, his wish was approved by the Riverview Board of Trustees. The tub not only provides fun for Eric, it is also very therapeutic and has many health benefits for children with cerebral palsy.

Rules and Reglulations

The Board of Trustees is currently reviewing the Riverview Rules and Regulations. Our primary goal is to be reasonable, fair and especially consistent regarding enforcement of our current rules.

Here are some of the issues that have come up recently.

Planting in the common areas - Some of you have received letters regarding planting off back decks and around your units. These letters are an attempt to be consistent with all unit owners. Please note that planting in the common areas must be approved by the Board of Trustees, with the exception of planting small, decorative plants in the mulch beds in front of your unit. Unauthorized planting can interfere with landscaping and damage the sprinklers system.

Common Elements of the complex are those areas jointly owned and maintained by all unit owners. This includes decks, privacy fences, yards, parking lots and walkways. No structural change can be made to the common areas, including decks and privacy fences, without written consent from the Board of Trustees (this includes paint and stains). The Common Elements cannot be used in a manner inconsistent with the residential character of Riverview. Please check with the Board of Trustees before making any changes to the outside of your unit.

Rules and Regulations are on-line at: www.riverview-condo.com/rules/

Any consent or approval given under these Rules and Regulations may be added to, amended or repealed at any time by the resolution of the Trustees.
