Snow Removal Procedure
Parking Spaces
Because winter is here, we have a new snow removal company, and so many new unit owners, we feel it is necessary to once again go over the storm and snow removal procedures here at Riverview.
If you know a storm is coming, please DO NOT PARK on the main road. (Do not park in the main sections before the storm starts). All cars should be parked in regular marked parking spaces. The main road must be kept clear for plowing.
When the storm is over and the main road has been plowed, you should move your car out of your parking area to the main road when the plows are in your area. Do not move your car until the plows are in your area. Once the plows are done with your space (about 10 minutes) you should move your car back into your space. This will allow others to park in the main road when their sections are being plowed.
If you fail to move your car during the clean-up stage and the plows have to come back, you could be billed for the additional cost.
Remember places are numbered and you should be parking in your assigned space.
If you are going to be away anytime from November 1st thru May 1st, you should consider parking your car down in the back parking lot by
the field or leaving your car keys with a neighbor, so that we can plow your space clean and minimize the snow banks in front of the parking spaces.
Walkways
The walkways will be started after the plows are done. Sometimes this will take several hours after the storm has already ended.

Sand Buckets
We have arranged for sand buckets to be placed throughout the complex. There will be one at the mailbox. This is for your usage. If you feel it is getting too slippery around the mail box, take a minute and throw some sand down so you don’t slip.
We will also be placing buckets around some of the other units. These buckets are being placed because of ice problems in the past years.
You are encouraged to keep your own salt or sand at your front door for your convenience.
We have adopted these procedure through years of experimenting. They work
the best when followed properly.
