Cookout, Open House, Yard Sale Day!

Come meet your neighbors at our 2nd community cookout! Saturday, September 25, 2004. Cooking will start at 3pm. Everyone is invited, but Riverview Residents only please. We will be setting up in the back field. The association will provide hamburgers, hotdogs and soda. Please bring a favorite side-dish and drinks. RSVP to Ron (Unit #8) at 839-7056 by September 18th, if you plan to attend. Rain date is Sunday, September 26.

For those interested, we might even have a community “open house” tour after dinner. This is a way to see how other people have decorated their units and perhaps get some ideas on customizing your own unit.  If you would like to help organize this day, please let Ron know when you RSVP.

Yard Sale
Some unit owners have requested a Fall Yard Sale. The board is granting permission to anyone who would like to have a yard sale, they may do so on the day of the Block Party, Saturday September 25.  You will be responsible for advertising, signs, etc. After your sale come join the block party out back!

Riverview Card Night

Some residents would like to start a monthly game night here at Riverview. If you would like to be part of this fun event, let us know. Email Ron at ronburke@verizon.net. The games begin in October.  Unit number to be determined.

Fire Places

Firewood
Ron Burke will be purchasing firewood for the winter. If you would like to purchase some with him, let him know. Last year three units paid $80 each toward a cord of wood, which lasted the whole winter.  Email:  ronburke@verizon.net
NOTE: When storing firewood on the decks, the wood should can not be placed directly on the deck. The wood cannot come in contact with the deck. You should use some type of stacking rack that will raise it off the deck.

Chimney Inspections
One last reminder that unit owners with fire places
must have their Chimney inspections completed by the end of September. If you are one of the 25 who has not had this done. NOW is the time. This is a community safety issue. Failure to have the inspection done could result in a fine of $25 per day. You must send Reliable a copy of the inspection.

Furnace Filters
With winter coming, this would be a good time to change you furnace filters.
